Digital Footprint / Digital Citizenship
A Digital Footprint is like a trail left behind by someone, and that trail can be traced to that person. A Digital Footprint is also something that can be bad if you have done something online you have said or done.
Digital Citizenship is about people leaving others alone and leaving there profiles or private stuff private and untouched. A person or people should respect the owners private profiles or other types of private things and be supportive of others work.
Some positive examples of digital citizenship is by keeping the language appropriate, don't post any bad statuses or things on a wall about someone or by telling rumors on your wall or status about someone and their private stuff.
Some negative examples of digital citizenship is by telling someone they are something or some type of bad thing that can hurt their feelings in some way. Don't use inappropriate things against them if they have told you a secret don't tell everyone what that secret is. Keep personal stuff out of your online life.
Assignment: DigiTeen Introduction
After reading some introductions from other students in the project:
1. Look at the rubric so that you will know how the introduction will be graded (advanced is worth the most points, beginning is worth the least points).
2. Write 5 - 10 (or more) sentences to introduce yourself.
3. Pay particular attention to correct spelling, capitalization and punctuation - this is SCHOOL WRITING, not TEXT writing.
Hi, My name is Bethany. I go to West Middle School in Anamosa, IA. I have one dog named Rex, and one cat without a name. I have one sister and one brother. I'm 12 and love to play volleyball and softball. I love to go swimming and horseback riding. In band I play the flute and I love learning new songs to play. My favorite ice-cream is mint chocolate chip but I also like plain old vanilla. My favorite animal is a horse. The team I like the most in football is the Hawkeyes, but i can sometimes go for the colts. My favorite colors are red and blue.
